Vietnam does not have as many beggers as Cambodia and other third world country. They started their Tourism in 1998.

and they began to open up to the world. and ya university graduates most become tour guide. it is a highly regarded job in Vietnam. earning a salary of S$700+ consider a lot.






The people same as china, they appear to be very poor to you. thye buy your heart. they say they very pityful. although is true, and say give them some tips to survive. buy their baby food. but ya u say later then give them, they show their true colours.

perfect example: we were rowing in this boat to see the caves. and they asking for money along the way while rowing the boat. then we dun give them, immediately, they dont row the boat. ask u row yourself. if u want, give them tips. when u give them, they say is too little. not enuf.

back from Hanoi ( vietnam) 7D/6N

everything all budget. calulated cost: $400++ (includes accomdoation, food, drinks, transport) so cheap cos is budget. we ate a total of 15 cup noodle in room to save $.

and ya i spoke french. =D hEEZ... at last, i can use the language u learnt to cummunicate. Vietnam is ruled by french lastime before america war, so they can speak french. i communicate with them by using simple french.

shall keep it simple & short. Some Facts about Vietnam:

1) They have a damn freaking large amount of motorbikes. i dunno how to cross their road. I was stuck on the road for 3 mins, i just stare and wonder how to cross. But i later discover to be so fun crossing, cos u know they will AUTOMATIC stop for you. You juz have to be daring. Cross like the locals. Or else u can forget abt crossing.









2) They love to Horn. Motor horn, car horn, buses horn, taxis horn. the whole country is horning. my ear is buzzing. 24 hr non stop horn. even at nite, they aso horn. i cant sleep at time due to excessive horning. NON STOP.





3) They are good drivers. VERY good. no accidents. despite the fact so many motorbikes. traffic heavy.


4) They live like Singapore in the 40s & 50s. according to my ah ma and uncle. Tools, not so clean ( don say dirty) pavement. rubbish on the road. ppl squat down to have their meal. Just a simple table, and 3 tools and they can start a business.


5) The dead people lies on the street openly. i saw one naked body of a man lying down the street. and the coffin was just beside him. his body was little decompose. his face turn a little black.


6) They are once a communist country. so u can still see they are a bit of old fashion, communist thinking. they love their country a lot! Everywhere, u can hear the national anthem, ppl standing still to show respect.

7) There are lots of shops for you to shop. but there are not a single big shoppin mall. all are small shops. where u can bargain. things are expensive in Vietnam. not cheap. Joyce, u want fan? for you kies.

8) the Viet. girls are quite pretty. ( argh.. okay, i shld say VERY PRETTY) that explains why so many men lookin for Viet. girls.. they are sweet lookin, with like more feamine. and ya like take care of their family. more family based orineted. unlike girls back home... =D no offence though.


9) Viet. ppl are not so friendly. (unlike in Thailand) They are more rude, fierce. When we bargain for the items, if we name too low, they simply take a broom and chase us out the shop.

10) it's a coolin climate when i visit vietnam. so ya temp around 15C- 25C. great climate walking down the street.

11) Their water puppet show rox! simply nice. But hard life...

12) The scenery is nice.

firstly, i will be going to this country: vietnam, well known for their motorcycles and puppet show








And i will be sittin this budget airline ( 3rd budget airline i sat, shall compare after that, hee)
It's an 3.5 hr flight. same as flyin to hong kong.



And i will be landing in this budget terminal.. so excited. shall take the photos inside with my camera... aircrafts rox!

today just finish mine basic theory driving test... results : PASSED.

whee... my 1st step to obtain the driving license is clear. 2 more steps to go. i was kind of anxious becos i koe is veri easy to pass and fail the test. i can onli get 5 qn wrong out of 50 qns. and in my trail test, i fail. so i dare not take any more chances. i make use of the 50 mins. ppl leave so early. and i sae their screeen, FAIL.

i told myself, nono.. i will not repeat the test again. so i must pass. i dun want to waste any more time. i want to drive asap!! lolx.

anyway, basic theory book for sales. anyone wanna buy?? it's onli $2.50 instead of $3.20... 2nd hand book, going 1, going 2... any takers?

tml going to vietnam, the temp is now 16C - 23 C. same weather as hong kong. how cooling is that... at last, go to a place where the weather is not so hot ( unlike the past yr, went to Egypt, and sri lanka) as usual, my ah ma gets so excited. i dun understand why but maybe she is old, so she kind of look foward in oversea trip. i am aso la, but juz too busy rite now. so no time to think abt it.

juz quit my job, alex laugh when he heard i want to learn driving. and sakae's Liu Liu ( from china) msg me last nite... i was kind of shock as in the hp no. was damn long... i knew it was her, cos onli in sakae, she call me panda. anyway, hope she doin well back in her homeland.

then ya my mum, not onli goin for this vietnam trip, she even planned bangkok, penang, china and europe trip.

one thing is confirm that my family will be goin to penang by coach ( no more by cars, cos too dangerous) just to shop and eat penang food arohnd April. but my brother not goin =( cos he will be in Brunei for Secret Intensive Combat Training, poor him suffering... lolX.

the my mum so busy schedule with my ah ma. they after comin back from vietnam and penang, goin to China, then bangkok ( again, my ah ma went once this yr le) so envy. but i got to study.

hope to get license asap. quick jaren!!

my mum call me urgently ask me not to work next week.. but she is shock to hear.. i have just quit sakae.. i m not workin le. sat is my last day at that hell place. (sorry to say that)

cos my mum book my name into the tiger airline... and i will be joining my uncle, mum, ah ma to Vietnam, Hanoi. i am lookin forward to this trip.. cos it has been 6 mths? since i last visit india/ sri lanka... so i m pretty lookin forward.. cos i m so tired rite now.

tiger airline... next tue, i will be leaving.. for 7 days in Hanoi, is juz book the airline. the tour components my uncle all book from internet. he like doin TTO project, he surf online, collect extensive info abt vietnam. type out his own itineary, i m so impressed. he can join my course liao... sure 'A'.

anyway, i will be back on 27th march. and to my exciteness, i will be the 1st few flight to land at singapore new buget terminal!!! how cool is that... i leave by Changi Airport, but i return at the new budget terminal. =D wee....

no more sakae, is time to have fun. my mind shut off.... nite guys!

i hate my job! i hate workin At sakae.. is so tiring... the onli motivation i get is from the customers who say ''Thank You'' they made my day.. other than that. one word : fuck. the management realli sux. the mangers nv koe how to make ppl feel happy.

this time i am for real, quitting sakae. i m so tired of it. i love my job, but the management NO. DAMN IT. they realli need improvement. i suggest them goin for 48 non-stop manager management lesson... they need it badly.

xiaopei today say one sentence : '' you being runner veri lousy. I think i need to teach you more... why dun ask your gd fren , alex ( head manager for sakae bugis) and Devon ( Area manager ) to teach you. You seem can talk to them a lot ar..''

i look at her( no, is stare). cos alex and devon monday come down to bugis.. and i as usual i m the runner.. then alex came into kitchen chat with me... he ask xiaopei to help me to take those food out, then he talk to me. i chat with him so happily, i told him i gonna quit, he keep sayin, continue workin.. '' and this time, think xiaopei not happy liao, cos she dopin my work, while i chat so happyily with Alex.

after alex, devon came and he aso chat with me for 5 mins... ask me how sch is... course.. sentosa... i m sure xiaopei eyes very GREEN.

ya, i got the backing of them... i m not scare of you la... i m juz tired of workin. $5.50 per hr, non stop workin. still need to rush like hell... wha biang.. pay penauts, but so many things to do. valerie phoned me and complain how life is so tough in F&B... ya, that's true... but if u have the passion to serve, it is noT. but managers sux. so what is the point of makin myself unhappy EVERYDAY.

workin for 6 mths in F&B, i have learnt what i want to leant, i koe the life of F&B. i have seen how things are done. most imp, i have see and learn how to be a manager. a bad example is XIAOPEI.

she make me runner tml... and say she will tell other managers to make me runner... she give me 3 nite duties... 3!!! she is too much. abusing her power. she say i runner lousy.. u so gd, u go do la.. then later she keep on scolding me during meetin, till melissa lim, tan wei long.. stand up for me.. say runner is they want to help me de, cos the cook throw everything at 1 shot.. thnks guys! but xiaopei lost of words for a while, then say but still.. jaren need more experience./.

FUCK off la, i pay u $20/hr u go do la.. u so clver u go do la... i m GOING TO QUIT. I HAVE ENUF. i m writing my resignation letter... I M PISS OF. I SHALL NOT MAKE MY LIFE SO UNHAPPY WORKING THERE. is juz for experience..

one thing i koe.. tml i m gonna to be runner AGAIN, for the past 2 weeks... wonder how many nite duties i have tml.. 3? 4?

Finally result is out.. but i did not koe today is the result day .. i simply forgot abt it.. lucky or else it would make me anxious.

so ya i was having K-BOX with mingsong, perry, QL, Tze shuen when i receive this sms @ 3.50pm.

i was kind of statisfy when i saw my results. cos i was aiming 3 'A' ... and i ya got it... but then later Valerie told me... she got 3 'Z' , distinction!! i was kind of sian liao... she too gd le... my aim for next sem is to be as gd as her... lolZ. ( but play is aso veri important)

don koe how that valerie do so well...i improve my GPA from 3.28 to 3.34... =D but it seem everyone improve.. so nth to be happi abt it. but it fall short of my target of 3.4 =(

anyway, i got a 'Z' at last... at first, i din notice my TTO. i was thinking Z is a subject.. and i was thinking what sub it is... and for french, i am rather gald it is a C. cos french is veri difficult for me... POM (B+) i thought my paper would lift me from B+ to A. but it did not.. sad .

no more toking abt result.. lets crap abt k box! hahaZ, k box is fun.. and ya i sing till no more voice le.. sign language now.. sing from 2pm- 8pm. sing till seow liao.. esp since QL and tze shuen went off early. lolX. =D

guys, teach u ''trick'' on how to have earn more time singing at k box. the ppl came in and ask for bill... take your time to pay the bill... so can sing more.. then later the waiter come with the change.. u take your time to scan the bill... and ask what is the charge and why is impose... so can sing more... then pretend still dun understand, go out to talk.. cos too noisy in the room.. so can sing more... then later go to washroom... ( btw, the time is up long ago..) so when they say time is UP, u say someone havent come back.. wait. so u can sing more... so that is how i sang more for 30mins... hahaZ...

Hosp and tourism rox! i love my course more and more.. dun ask me why.. perhaps i love travelling.. i love provide service.. and i love cookin.. so this course suits me perfectly.

when i choose this course after o level, many ppl even my relatives qn me.. why i choose this path? what is wrong, frens...? i love it. it's my road.. my choice, i koe what i m doing..

then later govt say IR is opening in 2009, my course [Hospitality & Tourism] become so HOT. all poly started to have their tourism thingy. TP even open another 2 more courses.

my pri sch fren ( 3 of them) want to get into my course.. askin me qns... and 2 of them dun even koe can apply thru JAE. i apply thru JAE, DAE. went to the open hse TWICE. cos i was unsure of how to apply. i knew my path. i knew what i want in life.

Sakae ... got this colleague aso went into hospitality and tourism... ( keng kee, u dunno her.. is a newbie) and she was so happy.. juz like what i feel last yr.. and she keep callin me SENIOR. lol.

anyway, these 3 days i keep work as Runner. i m so dead tired. but i am motivate somehow. u koe why? cos 3 ppl have given me top grade for gd service. u koe this gd service card that Govt now introduce... ya, i got 3. but the manager din say out. din satisify our hunger for praise. they fail POM.

but i koe in my heart, cos they ask my name.. and wrote it on the spot. lol. they make my day =D. treat customer as your frens. and out yourself into ppl shoe.. how would u want 2 be treated? =D

Hmm.. went back to Sakae work after 1 month of break ( due to study reasons) .. alamk! now they change the dress code to the kuku dressing. so paiseh to wear it.

the one i wore it in T.Pagar lastime.. now need to bring clothes to change le.. or else cant walk out. not even to buy a packet of lunch. imagine ppl will be laughing like seow la...

suprised that the ppl there still remember me.. even the kitchen staff was sayin.. hey, where u go? long time din see u le. and the sushi auntie even say :'' hey, why u happy then work , not happy then dont work?'' whaha... i laughed and told her... then make me runner for 6 hrs! 12-6pm. so tired. all by me one person. then the new manager was sayin.. did u ask a girl to come for interview? then i was like ''eh... which one u referring to? cos i think maltida, valerie, sue, jamie, sylvia and siowling ( ex mjr wushu) say wanna go sakae...

anyway, met moi ex NTUC INCOME colleague at bugis.. and we both were heading to withdraw the $. he was smiling at me.. and i was wondering. what is this idiot smiling aT? then haha. realize it was him. went to queue up ATM. i told him i wanted to be in front of him. and he was sayin :'' old habit die hards. always want to snatch from me. '' so k lo, i let him 1st. so i ask if he was goin to wait for me to withdraw $. and he say sure. so okay then... lol.

after withdrawing from POSB, i went to the beside ATM. to withdraw from UOB. need to queue up again. then later went to the beside one to withdraw from OCBC ATM. then he was like '' OMG... '' hahaz. i have already ask him liao, want to wait for me huh? then we went our separate ways.

met huimin. i was wondering who another idiot smiling at me now? hahaZ. actualli i was dreaming. till she spoke. oh .. i was thinking this face looks familar. but i dunno who. lol. trust she still in same course, and stay above me.

it's mahjong time.. today @ my hse... anyway, i set the alarm clock to force myself to wake up at 10am. before my frens arrive. but yet, i m the earliest to wake up.

zhixui msg me say she will be late. then without waiting further, yixian msg say he will also be late. cos juz wake up. and when is already 12pm, ( 1 hr behind the schedule time which is 11am) i call tze shuen and he was like still sleepin i think...

anyway, yixian and I do some things b4 the rest come... hahaZ.. shh =X
then ya kenneth and zilin aso come... but always they come, sure like got sch activity but nv attend de.... lastime also like this.. hahaZ. then ya play MAHJONG... and i was singing... so as to practice ma.. need to train on tai feng. and gay singer is none other than yixian.

then ya as usual mahjong.. fun ! and ya did some chicken wings well in advance, so as to ''feed'' them.. lol. then ya we decide to play with $. realli, i feel no $= no fun. hahaz. and poor yixian lose the most money... in both rounds. the 1st round, everyone was winning excpet yixian payin out $ to us. both round i won $3 each... but paY the noodle, mean i won $3. lolX. =D

quite fun though.

last nite, my grp of polymates seow seow de... we went geylang to makan. all over geylang to sneak out the delicious food... heaven of food. we ate beef kway teow, frog leg, oyster egg, tou jiang & you tiao, tim sum and lastly beancurd. all quite nice ya..

nextime, there's still hokkien mee, bao and china famous crab stall... =X

Amazing race!! is back.. whee... set my alarm clock to wake me up @ 9.55am. as usual, i m a good kid.. cos the alarm manage to wake me up.. guess what? the 1st thing i wake up i was sayin :'' amazing race! so amazing... !'' wth. i was shouting to myself.

push myself up.. and got ready to watch. ''it's a race !! it's a race'' my ah ma thought i smth wrong. and i the volume of the TV was extreme loud. till my neighbour close the door.. hahaZ. but i dont care... it is the amazing race! i have waited so lonGGggggg

anyway, i hate one of the contestants. she say the city stink. hey, when u go to other ppl country, u need to tolerate this kind of things. this is their way of life... their culture. accept it. dont try and compare everything with your country. i bet she nv go india, sri lanka before... if she go, she sure complain more... but what is there to complain? since u want to travel, u need to look the world at a bigger prespective. goin to india or sri lanka, u can smell the difference in air, directly when u step out the airport... actualli, i shld say on board the plane.. u can already smell... but respect it please.

anyway, they went to BRAZIL. the football crazy madness country, its so great. so cool. i alys want to go to brazil, another extoic country, that is not popular among asians. but i love this kind of place. and so keen to visit Czech republic, moscow, cape town, central africa, and the list goes on. but best is alaska. almost went there.. but becos no return air ticket back to singapore, so decide not to go. or else my relatives in canada wanted to drive us up to alaska. =( but the trip last 2.5 weeks. all aircraft seats fully booked. =(

anyway, the girls are damn hot! but i dont like their attitude. but they are pretty cool babes, i muz agreed. and there is jeremy... the 2 boys team. they wanted to know the 2 babes, but too bad... the girls was like teasing them...

amazing race rox! if got one in singapore, i sure the 1st few to register.. lolX. cos i love it. try bumpy jumping, dangerous sports... activites. i love the challenge. i m rather competive in this kind of race... but i koe too competitive no gd, it will only add up more stess and confusion.

and ya pls read the instructions carefully! it happens on the amzing race and it aso happen when my grp of frens went on the race organise by HTM. (race in spore) the clues read carefully, dun rush.

then ya form allies. i love it. back stab them if they are too strong. but do help them, so they can help u in return. play the game well. if go on amazing race, go with ya girlfriend. cos my mum cannot take such activities, my dad is not competitive, my brother hate travel. my frens... wonder who is intrested, and muz have be competitive. a race or a trip around the world make someone show their true colours. this is true, i got 1st hand experience when i travel with a grp outside. and goin with your gf, will enable u to see the real her. and of cos bond relationships. and it will be fun.

anyway, later going geylang to makan with my poly frens... hahaz. seow ar.. ? ! hahaZ. let me think where shld i take them to.... a tour guide in geylang? lol. and zilin msg me sayin she has the tickets to the air show.. but dunno who will go with her... and she forget abt me... till now. argh!! hahaZ. =) i wanted to go to the air show.. i love planes. but no one was going. i did not know who to call. and she was the same. but she got the tickets. aiya, nv call me.. its over now. =)
